Manfrotto 3229 Swivel Tilt Head with Quick Release
Great product by Gary D. Townsend I've used it with two different Monopods, Manfrotto lightweight monopod that I use when I travel, and a heavy pro-grade Manfrotto I use at home. For a tripod I'd suggest either the Bogen 486 or 488 heads of the ball, both of which offer good value and comes with quick release but note that it uses the RC2 quick release. 4 inches Quick Release Plate Supplied - 3157N (Rectangular mounting plate for quick release system. Tilt only - no rotation: Amazon (and others, including Bogen), calls it a Tilt Swivel head, but that seems to suggest that it moves in two directions - Tilt (up and down), swivel (left to right or panning). This tripod head has a quick release camera plate system. This head moves only in the direction of the tilt that allows you to orient the camera in portrait or landscape modes.
